Triple Insulated Wire

Furukawa triple insulated wire meets all the leading international safety codes and enables transformers to be manufactured to meet safety isolation standards without the need of margins and tape barriers.

The increased winding space permits smaller transformers to be designed and reduces manufacturing time and cost, Conductor diameters range from 0.2 mm to 1 mm.

TEX-E wire is now an acknowledged industry leader and in many applications offers significant advantages over other types of wire. Increasingly Design Engineers are recognising the benefits of TEX-E wire and are incorporating it into their transformer designs.

Other types of Furukawa wire are also available (Click on link for Data Sheet):

TEX-ECEW3 - Self bonding wire.

TEX-ELZ-wire- 7 Strand triple insulated wire (sizes range from 7x0.08 mm to 7x0.3mm).

Tex-FS Similar to Tex-E but temperature rated to class F (155 C). Tex-FS is a relatively recent addition to the Tex range of wires and both supersedes (and improves upon) Tex-F (Tex-F is still available if required though). The insulation characteristics have been altered to improve solderability and reduce any issues of soldering melt-back. It is also important to note that Tex-FS has been approved by UL and VDE for IEC 60601-1 (Medical Electrical Equipment) Working voltage 250V rms.

Tex-BS Temperature rated to class B (130 C). Tex-BS supersedes Tex-B and has improved insulation and solderability characteristics.

FWX-E Double insulated fine winding wire designed for Telecommunications Network Voltage (TNV) circuit devices (Temperature rated to class E -120 C). Sizes range from 0.11 mm to 0.19 mm.

FSX-E Single insulated fine winding wire designed for Telecommunications Network Voltage (TNV) circuit devices (Temperature rated to class E -120 C). Sizes range from 0.11 mm to 0.15 mm).

Power Magnetics offers a de-reeling service and customers are able to buy as little as 100m of wire (50m for larger wire sizes).

Customers who are engaged in multiple winding also often find it useful to order wire in equal increments on multiple reels (i.e. 8 reels with 1000m on each reel). We do charge a surcharge for de-reeling to multiple reels.

We hold large stocks of most types and sizes of Tex wire, ready for immediate dispatch.

Samples and full technical support are available on request.

Cosmo Ferrites

Check out our range of Cosmo Ferrites They provide a high quality, low cost alternative to Ferroxcube™, Epcos™, TDK™ etc..  Many cores are held ex-stock and factory lead-times are much lower than the industry average.
